- Choose your vehicle. Shop new or pre-owned online or in person at either Utah location.
- Tell us you want to pay with crypto. Say so early, so we can prepare your invoice and confirm your wallet works.
- Pay your BitPay invoice. We generate an invoice with your rate locked for 15 minutes. You pay from your wallet; BitPay confirms in real time.
- Finish paperwork and drive away. Once payment confirms, we wrap up the paperwork and get you on the road.
Four things to know before you pay
Your rate is locked for 15 minutes
When your invoice is created, BitPay locks the exchange rate and guarantees it for 15 minutes. Market movement inside that window doesn’t change what you owe. If the invoice expires first, we simply generate a new one at the current rate — nothing is lost.
Pay from a wallet, not an exchange account
The most common snag. Exchanges batch outgoing transactions and can take hours to broadcast — far too slow for a 15-minute window. BitPay requires a Payment Protocol–compatible wallet and supports more than 100 of them, including WalletConnect and Coinbase Wallet. Move funds into your wallet before your appointment.
Plan for identity verification
BitPay is a licensed money transmitter, and higher-value transactions can require its identity verification (BitPay ID) before payment goes through. A vehicle purchase often meets that threshold — completing it ahead of time saves everyone a wait.
Your price does not change
Promise Price is Promise Price. Paying with cryptocurrency doesn’t move the number on the vehicle, and there’s no commissioned sales pressure either way.
